Cowboys & Angels = three days in Dallas!

Rachel and Alex decided to elope for their wedding and came all the way from Dallas, TX to get married in New York. I was fortunate enough to photograph their ceremony in Central Park in October 2009 and spend a day with them in the City. At the time I thought this was as far as our photography adventure together would go. They were not planning to have a wedding reception. Little did I know, a few months later I received an e-mail from Rachel asking if I would come to Dallas to photograph their wedding reception. It turned out the families wanted to party and friends wanted to celebrate and the newlyweds couldn’t resist the idea to mark the joyful occasion with a big party! I of course accepted the offer with a big smile. Start my 2010 wedding season in Texas? Sure, that would be most welcome. As it turned out Texas is NOT a warmer place than Philadelphia in January but that didn’t stop me from having great time. Most of it I own to my wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make my time in their home city as enjoyable as possible – Rachel and Alex, thank you again for everything! It was a pleasure meeting your families and friends, getting to know the incredibly friendly dog Rufus and your two cats, visiting the “Six Floor Museum” and touring the downtown of your beautiful city. I know I will be back one day, for now here’s a small selection of images from those few days!

Preeti - I’m always impressed by your work, David – you’re not just a great wedding photographer, you’re an awesome photographer in general!
