Maria & Rob = beauty, class, inspiration!

When you ask Ralph Lauren where his inspiration comes from and how he designs his most popular and upscale clothing collections – he will start talking about cars. Yes, cars…and I don’t mean just expensive cars, I don’t mean *just* supercars. I mean incredible, one of a kind pieces of art like 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 Mille Miglia, 1929 “Blower” Bentley, the one and only Bugatti Atlantic Coupe or a number of vintage and rare Ferrari models. The timeless beauty embraced by those automobiles invokes a certain feeling. When you are in their presence you simply have to smile. You feel uplifted whether you’re a guy or a girl, young or old, car fan or not. Now, you may be wondering what does any of this have to do with Maria and Rob’s wedding in New York City a few days ago. No, they did not drive one of Ralph Lauren’s cars to their ceremony but… being around them all day made me feel in a similar way. Even though I am well aware why I do what I do – their day was like falling in love with wedding photography all over again! Even though we were on a pretty challenging (time- and organizationwise) schedule they handled everything with clamness and smile. I have yet to see a wedding where every little detail goes exactly as planned yet they never let that get in the way of truly enjoying one of the most important days in their lives. For the beauty just please look at Maria’s portraits below and let her steal your heart! For inspiration come the gorgeous reception details at Alger House in lower Manhattan. The coverage below is by myself and David Lim, enjoy!

Credits for making Maria and Rob’s day so special and successful go to: Sarah Ritchie – wedding officiant, Alger House – reception venue, Victoria Ahn – florist, Watters Brides – the bride’s gown, Made in Heaven Cakes – the cake!
